Chris Russo Loses It On Sirius
Monday, July 13, 2009
On Friday, Chris Russo spent the better part of his show throwing people under the bus, and calling out just about everyone he worked with. Not only that, but he took multiple calls about how he was terrible, and that he couldn't run a national radio show. After the dust settled, Russo seemed to backtrack a bit, but it appears the damage has been done. Here's some of the audio from Fang's Bites via The Chris Russo....
This obviously brings up a few questions, but the main one being....Is Chris Russo the problem or is it the staff, as he says. It also brings up the fact that national sports shows rarely work, and ones on satellite radio, especially so. Both Russo and Francesa have struggled since they broke up, and it might be time to call this "national" experiment a wash.

If I had a family, would I want to rbing them hom a mad dog or a bow wow?
William, maybe your family could buy you a dictionary.
What a jackass.
I'm glad I never invested in buying a satellite radio. It's obviously not worth my money and is counterproductive to my profession.
This is why I hope that one day there's a sports talk radio convention, featuring every mic jockey in America, so that a meteor can hit it.
He spends the first half of the recording talking about wanting "Mad Dogs" and the next talking about wanting staff who's actually smart. Good luck with that.
HAHAHAHAHA. Around the 8:50 mark I couldn't stop laughing. See ya Mike. Have a nice LONG vacation.
According to steve torre, who was on Stern this morning, everyone has been hired back.
And he wasn't talking about Chernoff. He was talking about someone named (named Spitz?) from FAN.
No listener wants to hear about Nadal and Federer. MadDog is loud and annoying, why would you want to listen to him screaming his head off...Russo has lost it!!
Damn - He lost it.
So who is that program director he was speaking of? The PD of WFAN is Mark Chernoff and I doubt he was referring to him.
