Hard Knocks Returns To HBO!

Monday, June 04, 2007

Back in 2001 and 2002 HBO took us inside the Camps of the Ravens and Cowboys. This programming is where we found out about hazing and that Chad Hutchinson loved to play the guitar. It was riveting stuff actually.

Well it's coming back this Summer, and the team they're following? The Kansas City Chiefs...

Kansas City Chiefs fans will get a rare insider's look at training camp this summer. The team announced Saturday it will be the subject of HBO's sports-reality show Hard Knocks.

The HBO cameras, in association with NFL Films, will be given exclusive access to meetings and practice for the five-week training camp in River Falls, Wis.
To say I'm stoked for this is an understatement. I loved the first two, but I'm curious as to why they picked the Chiefs? Can someone please tell HBO that they need to move their cameras to Cincy post-hate?!?!

Chiefs' camp will be featured on HBO (SI.com)

Yeah, that is a fairly strange choice of team. But ehy, with a bit of luck we'll get to see Trent Green sulking in the corner and getting all narky with the coaches...

AA, that is exactly why they chose the Chiefs. And Larry McCrankypants will be an entertaining sideshow as the team's best player.

Hazing is known as "Ragging" in India.

The situation is so horrible that at-least 22 deaths have occurred since 2000 in India due to ragging (hazing). Many have been crippled, thousands have been sexually abused often in a way no less than gangrape.

Both boys and girls are victims, and often the raggists' victim is of their opposite sex.

In the face os such a deadly situation and when the authorities of the concerned institutions are intentionally turning a blind eye to this untold version of the Abu Ghraib, the Honbl. Supreme court of India has issued a historical order. The court ordered that if the authorities are reluctant, they will be tried against, as well. It prescribed strict punishments to deal with ragging (hazing).

We are group of volunteers, working as a Non-profit organization to eliminate this social evil of ragging (hazing).

We shall be glad to know if anyone shares our concern.

Thanks and regards,

Great to hear that HardKnocks will be making a comeback to HBO.

I've been trying to find the first two seasons of HardKnocks on dvd to no avail. Now that a new season is coming, does anybody know if the Ravens or Cowboys versions were ever released on DVD?

Nope...they never were for some reason.

They usually concentrated on generic people anyways. Like the standard characters were: 1) high draft pick adjusting to team, 2) injured veteran trying to recover in time for opening day, 3) walk-on trying to make the team.

Good show though.

I can't wait. If it begins with Herm Edwards reading a copy of Brian Billicks autobiography (I'm sure he's written one), that would be perhaps the best moment of my life.
