Even More Strahan News: Ready Yourself For His Appearance On "Chuck"
Wednesday, June 25, 2008
Good lord. I'm seriously not trying to make this Strahan Central, but his agent is doing a hell of a job to make sure it happens. Via TSB via the Star Ledger now comes the breaking news that Mikey is going to appear on an episode of the NBC series Chuck....
Last week in Burbank, Ca., Strahan filmed a guest spot for NBC TV show "Chuck," playing Mitt, the manager of the Mighty Jock sporting goods store in the mall where geeky main character Chuck Bartowski works.Strahan's agent is seriously working a ton of overtime these days. Next thing we know he's going to show up on the CBS Evening News. Also, I've seen every single 80s movie and have never heard of Three O'Clock High until this very moment.
"When the cameras rolled, Michael was really, really funny," said Josh Schwartz, the show's creator and executive producer. "Everyone on the set was completely blown away. Broadcasting or acting, he's got a future."
In the episode, which will air Oct. 20, Mitt and his staff take over the home theater of the Buy More electronics store at lunchtime, playing Madden and leaving behind a mess of wrappers and food. Morgan, Chuck's best friend and co-worker at Buy More, has to confront Mitt, resulting in a showdown scene ala 80s film "Three O'Clock High."

Three O'Clock High was a solid flick. Too bad you missed it. Strahan is going to do great.
I'll have to check it out.
Call me when Strahan reprises the role of T.K. Carter from He's My Girl.
I would like the final confrontation much more if it were Strahan vs. Favre, and Favre wasn't allowed to slide this time.
Wow, as a lover of 80's movies myself, I've got to say - go out and rent "Three O'Clock High". Solid. And then get "The Night Before" - just to see a young Lori Laughlin...
Who, outside of NY, wants to see Strahan run his yap in prime time? I have to think that NBC agreed to this stunt in an attempt to win his 'services' on their sunday night football show.
Who, outside of NY, wants to see Strahan's gap in prime time?

I'm not going to watch this. I want Strahan to fail miserably ala Tiki.
