These Are Your Managers Chicago Fans

Saturday, June 21, 2008

There's really no way to prepare you for what you are about to see, so we'll just go right into it. Here's your first look at the Chevy commercial that WGN aired with Lou Pinella and Ozzie Guillen rapping....

Ummmm....wow. I guess there really isn't anything else left to say. The only thing that was missing was Carlos Zambrano and AJ Pierzynski breakdance fighting in the background.

That was embarrassingly bad. Why does any "rap" by non-rappers always end up sounding like bad '80s rap?

You think that was bad, try watching the excreable version of the 7th - inning stretch by the idiots from "Fall Out Boy." Harry Carey rolls over in his grave - again.

Completely agree with you, dmac. Were they even singing? It seemed like the guy that joined Len and Bob in the eight inning was way too nervous.

This makes the Super Bowl Shuffle sound like Thriller in comparison.

Eh...I'd give that commercial a 4 out of 10: barely tolerable once per game. Surely Chicago's ad agencies could have come up with something better than that POS.

I just saw the Fall Out Boy 7th inning stretch on Youtube, and it's classic emo mediocrity. Hipster bands are so talentless that they are incapable of singing a song the way everyone else has for years. Nooo...they have to make it unique--and, therefore, instantly cool--to appease their fans. And once "achieving a status symbol" has replaced "high quality" as the goal, you get bird turds like this.

In the title of the post, there should be a comma after "Managers."

This is definitely very disturbing... LoL... and it certainly doesn't make me want to shop for a car there

They should've brought in a real pro like the rapping grandma to bring it all together.

They are obviously not being paid enough by the clubs. They are down to eating mac and cheese and beenie weenies. It's sad that grown men can't make a living doing what they love but have to whore themselves out for the cash.
