The LPGA Is F'ing Awesome!

Monday, June 23, 2008

Leave it to a reader watching women's golf during a crappy Sports weekend to find this clip for me to post. Reader Mike caught this awesome f-bomb after Eun-Hee Ji won the Wegmans LPGA Tournament yesterday....

Umm....so many questions. Since when do they have bottles of the Moet on hand following a Golf Tournament? Is this a common practice? Who are the other three women on the green? Is the LPGA normally this hot and/or intense? I know what a phenom is but what the hell is a FEEEE-NOMMM?!

It's sad that I'll never watch an LPGA event long enough to find out, but if anyone knows please pass along the information.

(P.S.- Notice that I didn't go with the easy angle of multiple Asian women pouring champagne on each other. Apparently there's a movement we have to adhere to these days.)

It is an LPGA custom for other players to spray a first time winner with champagne. It sound as if it is the caddy who dropped the f-bomb. Probably happy to get 10% of a winner's check.

Women's golf is definitely not the first sport I would guess had an f-bomb let slip. But it makes perfect sense that it was still a dude that said it.
