College Gameday Heading To The SEC Championship (And The Rest Of Your Week Fifteen Announcing Schedule)
Monday, December 01, 2008
The last couple of weeks have been pretty predictable in where College Gameday was heading, and this week will be no different. Even though the SEC Championship game is on CBS, ESPN will be sending Gameday to Atlanta for the Alabama-Florida game this Saturday. The networks have also released their announcing teams a bit early, so I thought I'd put those up as well. Only one more weekend to decide the regular season Pammies (this week's nominees will be up in a few)!

Watch out, ladies of Maryville, Missouri: Pam Ward is comin' to your citaay.
Mrs. Kiffin is Sofa King hot.
Too bad you can't say that at uniwatchblog.com...
NCAA Division II Semifinals: Minnesota Duluth at Bloomsburg (ESPN Classic, Noon)- Eric Collins and Jon Ritchie
If it were not for Division II referees, that is what that would read. I guess there is a reason they are in division II. Here, let me explain this. So it's in the 3rd quarter of a back-and-forth game between Cal and Bloom in the D2 quarterfinals in which Bloom leads by 3. Bloom punted it away and the fair catch was dropped by the Cal returner and recovered by Bloom at the Cal 35. However, the refs threw a flag for a fair catch interference! Few problems...
1. The Bloom defender was not within two yards of the receiver.
2. The refs cited the halo rule, saying that the Bloom defender was within 2 yards, and thus in D2, that's fair catch interference. And while you might say "well, that's a judgment call". And you'd be right, it was close. But there's a problem......THE HALO RULE WAS THROWN OUT OF THE RULE BOOK 2 YEARS AGO!
That play turned the entire game around, Cal took the ball and drove it for a TD, and while Bloom nearly cameback, the potential 14-point swing was too much.
And other than that, JFein, how was your experience?
The final week will feature full on announcing craptitude. Will someone teach Jesse Palmer to 1) buy a shirt from someplace other than K Mart, 2) correctly tie a tie , and 3) say something that is not on the SID's weekly press release?
Does Pam Ward know she is not call Alabama at Missouri?
Will someone tell Holly she needs less eye shadow and more blouses like last week's out fit. Damn, that was great.
The over/under on Bob Davie's "I tell you what" is 50.
When BCS-bound Cincinnati assumes the position for Hawaii will anybody remember that the bowl system is about money and not the best match up
Will someone tell Holly she needs less eye shadow and more blouses like last week's out fit.
I haven't looked at Holly Rowe longer than 1/10th of a second to ever notice what she's wearing.
/repeat statement again with Shelley Smith in place of Holly Rowe
bevo, Cincinnati is a very good team from the Big east, so much so, they're more than likely facing Boston College in the FedEx Orange Bowl when the picks are announced Sunday night.
Good lord these early games suck.
The Lane Kiffin press conference wasn't over long before the important factors were carefully evaluated. Leading, of course, to the hotness of Kiffin's wife being celebrated on the interweb.

This day, I am proud to be a Tennessee fan!
