Who's Ready For The Lebron Invitational, er....NBA Finals?

Wednesday, June 06, 2007

If you weren't sick of Lebron yet....you soon will be. The marketing machine that is Nike is going to make damn sure you are a witness.

Nike is introducing new activation of the “Witness” marketing campaign around Cavaliers F LeBron James. A print ad features a black-and-white picture of James from the Cavaliers-Pistons Eastern Conference finals with the line, “We Are All Witnesses.” A 30-second TV spot that includes ’07 playoffs highlights set to Marion Williams’ version of the Bob Dylan song “I Shall Be Released” will debut tonight during the ESPN’s 11:00pm ET “SportsCenter.”- Sports Business Daily
God forbid he leads the Cavs to the title...we'd be inundated with all things Lebron. The Lebrons would make appearances on Leno, he'd be rumored to be dating Jessica Alba (even though he's supposed to have a kid soon), and Cleveland would probably implode.

But I guess the alternative of having the Spurs win would be worse. Go Cavs!

P.S.- If you're rooting for the Spurs you have no soul.

If this leads to Bron endorsing more lawn mowers, I'm all for it.

I can't watch his posterization of Tim Duncan enough.
