The Natives Are Getting Restless In Auburn

Saturday, December 13, 2008

The reaction of the Auburn faithful to the hiring of Gene Chizik as head coach has been nothing short of an overwhelming tide of bile directed at athletic director Jay Jacobs. Track 'Em Tigers has been in shock and the commenters at the Birmingham News sports section are livid.

Jacobs even got heckled at the airport as he walked over to take some questions from a reporter.

See you tomorrow for the day in the NFL and more.

As an Auburn student, I have to say that I am embarrassed to have such a moron running our athletic department. First jetgate with Petrino, now this. Thanks, Jay.

That picture on Track 'em Tigers is great.

Be glad you're not a MD fan. Idiot AD who wont fire two underperforming coaches (football and mens bball) who are coasting on early success. Some of us Terps fans would have helped Ralph Friedgen pack for Auburn, he couldnt even win ACC this year.

That was hilarious! I'm sure Coach Tubs got a good laugh knowing he got fired to hire a guy who was 2-10 at that football powerhouse Iowa State.
