"I was a huge Lew Alcindor fan. Even though I grew up in Ohio, UCLA was on tv, read everything about him..." - Clark Kellogg

he probably did read all about him, but there is zero chance that UCLA and Alcindor were televised in Ohio in the late '60s.

Kellogg just compared Danny Green to Baking Soda.

Even Nantz was confused.

The baking soda thing is nice. Don't take any crap from Nantz-y boy, Clark. Well Done.

All quotes from RJBO:

Clark: "I wish I had a basketball, because (Oklahoma) needs to squeeze it."

"Easy being Green." More Clark goodness

Clark: "As my youngest son would say, 'The score is flipped, Dad.'"

That baking soda quote would be funny...if he didn't use it last year in studio...he might have been talking about Green too.

Forget the basketball game...I'd love to watch Bob Knight through down with Metallica.

Any good garbage cans available on the set?

i guess if tyler hansbrough had received a little more publicity, nantz would know that hansbrough's hometown isn't POP bluff, missouri.

And meanwhile, in case anyone forgot about him, Tiger Woods sunk a 20-foot putt on the 72nd hole to win at Bay Hill.

In other more exciting news, Tiger won his first tourney since he came back from his 8 month layoff with the knee surgery. It was an epic finish on the 72nd hole with a 16 footer. Should get that video up, AA.

B. Screw Tiger Woods.

Nantz probably was more interested in Tiger than basketball. The Final Four should begin this way "Jim Nantz, UConn, goes man-to-man."

16 foot putt! no wait...

12 foot putt. Onions! Double Order!

and it wasn't his first tournament back either.

Tiger's accomplishments speak for themselves. Don't fall into the same idiotic realm as the media and start making shit up just to be more hyperbolic.

Yeah, I don't like Clark Kellogg as the Final Four analyst. He's a much better studio guy.

As for who CBS should pair with Nantz ...

I like Len Elmore. He is highly intelligent, played the game at a high level has both the respect of the history of the game as well as keeping with the present. I think his style works very well with Nantz. Moreso than Bill Raftery and Jay Bilas. I like Bilas, but he's a better studio guy too.

I've always been more of a "it should have been Raft instead of Kellogg", but the more I think about it, I'm not sure how well Raft would jive with Nantz. The more I think about it, the more I tend to agree that it should be Elmore with Nantz. He has his setbacks (he can be very monotone), but as far as developing chemistry with Jim Nantz, Elmore would probably be the best option.
