The National Football League released it's preseason schedule today, and while you can view the whole thing at NFL.com, I figured I'd share the National TV portion of the schedule with you. soooo what makes a "great" preseason game?

What a relief. For a minute there, I thought that ESPN would use up all their Raiders primetime games in the preseason instead of when the games matter.

Of course, CBS has New England and Washington. Nothing sells meaningless preseason games like big markets. I'm a huge NFL fan and it is effective to evaluate talent, but until I have Mel Kiper's job, I will clamor for the regular season to start.

Actually I think the biggest victory here is Fox getting the Cowboys' first game in their new stadium. Even though it's on a Friday, people will actually tune in for at least a few minutes to get a look.
