Today In Extremely Inaccurate Sports Advertisements
Tuesday, March 17, 2009
Darren Rovell at Sports Biz, came across this humorous yet rather odd advertisement from M&Ms candy, which features two candies decorated as Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. The ad is supposed to be a commemoration of sorts for the 30th anniversary of their famous tournament clash, but there's one problem....they used their NBA colors....
In all fairness, no one would probably recognize Magic in MSU green or Bird in Indiana State light blue, but still....that should have been their direction. Plus the Magic M&M doesn't even really look like him. Good try though.

Very weird picture, I don't know who approved the likeness of the players but they are terrible.
I had a feeling that the yellow M&M gave you AIDS...
