Greaaaaat, Expanded Bonds Coverage!

Friday, June 15, 2007

Really late start today, and since nothing else happened I'll give a bit of info and what you'll be seeing in the coming weeks on ESPN and FOX. Three words....

Fox and ESPN are considering expanding coverage of Barry Bonds as he approaches the all-time home run record. ESPN Senior VP/Programming & Acquisitions Len DeLuca: “First we have to decide, when can we break in and begin to do live cut-ins of his at-bats, and that’s being negotiated now.” Fox, which is airing Giants games on three consecutive Saturdays this month, “might be interested in carrying Bonds’ games in prime time” as he nears the record, “but adding broadcasts is complicated by rights deals”- SBD
Thanks.....I'll pass. Someone email me when he breaks the record.

You know that if ESPN shows it, people will be glued to the tube. Love him or hate him, you have to admit that this chase is interesting in a lot of ways.

No, I don't have to admit it. In fact, I'm so not interested in Bonds that I change channels whenever he's mentioned or is shown.
