A Look At Madden 2009's TD Celebrations

Friday, July 25, 2008

Shutdown Corner via With Leather has the video of Madden 2009's TD celebrations and I think for once we can say they've nailed it. Here's your first look....

I don't know how I feel about Portis doing cartwheels, but the Lambeau Lamp and LT teapot endzone celebrations gave me goosebumps. I always thought the celebrations in older editions of Madden were pretty stale, so this is a good sign that the game might have improved.

I'd rather watch Todd Jones hold onto a one-run lead in the 9th. I'd rather watch the entire run of "The Magic Hour." I'd rather take Michelle Bonner out on a date to an all-you-can-eat Casino buffet than watch one one-thousandth of a second of that lame, unfunny Danica Patrick video.

FYI: A great line by Vin Scully during Willie Harris' at-bat in the 5th inning tonight, about how Harris' uniform number was changed from #12 to #1:

"He's dropped the deuce!"

Moss is doing the Soulja Boy as he did all last year; I like that they put in Galloway's, so simple just an arm flex. I hope they have Holt's one too where he just throws two hands up, very simple but he does it on every TD.

Where's the video of Brett Favre in Madden '09 ESPN showed during tonight's SportsCenter with Favre as a Viking, a Jet, a Bear and a Raven?

There is one mistake...they have Tavarius Jackson in the end zone, something we all know will never happen.

Just kidding. Madden 09 looks great.
