Skydome Gets Awesome For A Night

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

I always wondered if people went to the Renaissance Hotel in Sky Dome, or whatever it's called these days, for a little bit of exhibitionism and I think we now have that answer....

Not only are the Blue Jays wearing their baby blues on Fridays, but the Rogers Centre also became Exhibition Stadium this weekend, if only for a few minutes.

To the delight of some fans, a brazen blond enjoyed some of Saturday's game against the Yankees in an outfield hotel suite wearing nothing but a thong and a smile.

Just before 4 p.m., in the seventh inning, Sun photographer Dave Abel caught pictures of the woman leaning up against the glass in a suite next to the Jumbotron.

"The Jumbotron videographer told me I might want to look at the suite to the left of the screen, so I looked up, and there she was," Abel said. "You don't see that every day at a Blue Jays game.

Stadium officials quickly dealt with the nude woman (much to the chagrin of everyone with binonculars) and stopped her shenanigans without a scene. I really tried to get a better picture too, but that's the only one out there right now. I love the nonchalant nature of it too. We're just talking about the la la la la. Nothing to see here.

How dare all of those fans peak into her room! Bunch of peeping toms.

The Blue Jays just became my 2nd favorite team (right behind the Phightin' Phils, or course).

"Since it opened in 1989, there have been at least three incidents at the hotel where couples were having sex in plain view of tens of thousands of fans, as well as one incident when a man was thrown out of the hotel for masturbating at the window, believing it was one-way glass. "

Amazing. God bless Canada eh?
