Your Early Candidate For Buzzer Beater Of The Year
Wednesday, December 03, 2008
Sure it's Division III, and doesn't technically count in the final standings (I kid), but this buzzer beater from Geneseo's Scott Morton to beat Oswego in the battle of SUNY schools....is pretty amazing. And who better to show it to you than our friend Dana? She even has an interview with the kid!
Good stuff Geneseo Knights and Mr. Morton! You have the top spot until Blake Hoffarber once again decides to unleash one of his ridiculous buzzer beaters on the Basketball World.

One shining moment....
Did Dana take him out for beers afterwards?
I thought Dana was strictly a Belvedere Vodka gal...
@Matt Barnes: I don't watch First Take, but anything that gets an ESPN show to stop talking about Charlie Weis or LeBron's "impending signing" with the Knicks, I'm all for it.
AA - You need to find video of Mort struggling to get a sentence out on the 6 pm SC tonight. Too funny.
He totally cut off his teammate who would have had a much higher percentage shot straight at the basket there. He's just lucky to make that...douche.
ha that was great!

9:16 anon ... definite douche, he tried to take a charge on the other end too ... he did hit the three though to start the whole thing, a pretty active 15 seconds.
You guys are nuts. This kid did more in 15 seconds than most of us have done in our lives, athletically speaking. if you had done this at your local YMCA, you wouldn't stop bragging about it for a year. It's DIII. Stop trashing him. It was great.
Buzzer Beater of the year???? The ESPY for the next decade is wrapped up....most amazing play ever!!!! 2 buzzer beaters AND a horse shot in like 3 seconds?? game over
The fact that they got an interview with this kid proves just how desperate first take is for content. Seriously, I'd rather watch month-old PTI's than 2 hours of that crap.
