Artie Lange Tells Great Stories About Caray And Uecker
Thursday, March 05, 2009
Comedian Artie Lange was on Letterman the other night, and for some reason unbeknownst to me, decided to share a handful of stories on a pair of Baseball announcers. The first is a tale of Bob Uecker's use of the "cough button", and the second is about the drinking habits of Harry Caray. Via NQTC....
That's a pretty strong Caray to tell you the truth. I also always wondered about some of the more creative ways to use the cough button. Good stuff.

Artie is great. I listen to him on the Stern show everyday.
Yeah Artie is a huge Yankees fan and talks sports all the time on Howard Stern's show. The guy is one of the funniest people on the planet. You can check out the Howard Stern show on channels 100 and 101 on SiriusXm Satellite Radio, its well worth the 13 bucks a month plus you get home and away announcers for most sporting events.
I only hear him when he's on Letterman, Kimmel or Conan, but his stories are always fantastic.
He has a great one about rushing the field at Yankees stadium as a kid, but there is nothing funnier than his story about driving around LA in the middle of the day in full prostetic makeup dressed as a pig looking for crack.
Good times, good times.
Putting "comedian" and Artie Lange in the same sentence is akin to mixing oil and water; it doesn't work.
he also did some A-Rod material.
