Bill Simmons Compares "Cold Pizza/First Take" To Snuff Films
Wednesday, March 04, 2009
A lot of things have been said about the show, Cold Pizza, but this could quite possibly be the funniest. Bill Simmons had Matthew Berry on his podcast today, and when the talk of ESPN "The Weekend" the ESPN2 morning show came up, Simmons compared it to "starting out in snuff films". Seriously....here's the audio....
"Starting out on Cold Pizza, that's like, yeah....I did some snuff films back in the 70s. That's how I broke in."- Bill Simmons
Man, the B.S. Report is a must listen these days because Simmons talks trash about ESPN every single episode. I thought for a second it was getting old, but anytime you can work in a snuff film reference, I'm back all-in. Plus he sarcastically said that he wasn't "a company man" further into the podcast. Too funny.
B.S. Report: Matthew Berry (ESPN)

Eh, I'm disappointed that he did not work in a Karate Kid reference.
He also said that he was the furthest/most opposite thing from a company man before praising ESPN's draft auction software/application. Good stuff.
Shrutebag pissed on Simmons again today; ragging on the length of his columns. He brought out the "I'm 45 and busy" line again. I'm thinking we'll hear a rebuttal fairly soon.
From the Rick Bucher podcast today:
Apparently Colin Cowherd called BS out this morning for "getting paid by the word." Simmons invited him to be a podcast guest next week.
Any chance of getting the sound from CC's show this morning? Maybe the two of them will eventually just duke it out. That...or beat the crap out of Reilly.
I really, really like Simmons, and no, his dislike of ESPN has not grown thin and gets funnier.
Colin Cowherd is such a dope, I'd love to see him have the balls to go on Bill's show - only to have Bill completely and totally own him.
The headline should have been: "Someone likes Skip Bayless!"
