A Look Inside Season Two Of FSN's "Sport Science"

Tuesday, March 03, 2009

I've made no secret about my love for the FSN show "Sport Science". I mean any show that can get someone to volunteer to get hit in the nuts by a tennis ball, "for science", is a winner in my book. Well, the show is coming back for a second season, and I don't know how they could top last year, but it looks like they may have. Not only do they pair Drew Brees against a real-life gunslinger (to see who has the quicker release), AND get Padraig Harrington to hit a tee shot ala Billy Madison (to see if a run up helps his distance), but they even got Stephon Marbury to do something that the NBA couldn't. Get him on the court wearing a Knicks jersey!

Man, I can't wait. The show airs every Sunday night at 9pm, and will debut on March 22nd. Oh and the first episode actually has MMA fight Houston Alexander taking a shot of adrenaline to see if it helps him punch harder. FSN sent me a copy of the show, and trust me, you don't want to miss it.

Sport Science, getting people to risk their lives for our entertainment since 2008! Here's a list of some of the athletes that will be featured on the show:

NFL: Ray Lewis, Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Vernon Davis, Tank Johnson, TJ Houshmanzadeh
NBA: Stephon Marbury, Kevin Love, Amare Stoudemire, Luke Walton, Greg Oden
MLB: Matt Kemp, James Loney, Jake Peavy, Mark Reynolds
MISC:
Padraig Harrington, Kyle Busch, Marco Andretti, Fedor Emelianenko, Gina Carano

I must have missed the golf scenes in Billy Madison. Happy Gilmore, maybe?

So is that what Marbury has been doing while he was on the bench?

It's not a Knicks jersey. It's a Starbury jersey in Knicks colors.
