Another Imus Replacement Tabbed

Friday, May 04, 2007

Boomer Esiason's week on WFAN is coming to a close and a bunch of new names are getting thrown into the mix. The most notable however is native New Yorker....Bob Costas.

With Boomer Esiason's week in the Don Imus hot seat ending today and the McEnroe brothers due in next week, WFAN still does not appear close to a permanent replacement. An intriguing name has been circulating around the corridors of NBC and elsewhere in the big city, though: Bob Costas.
With all of his responsibilities it might be tough for him to pull off, but either way WFAN needs to make a decision soon. While they want to take their time and select the right person for their Over-50 demo, they are drastically losing ratings.

I actually thought Boomer did a halfway decent job last week - whether it was with Collinsworth or Monica Crowley. I would find him a better choice than anyone on this week's tryout list (the McCnroe's or Geraldo) or Bob Costas for that matter.
