Jose Molina Takes One For The Team
Tuesday, July 01, 2008
With the frequency these have been happening lately I was going to pass on this video, but you emailed and emailed. And what baby wants....baby gets. Here's Jose Molina stopping a fastball with his...um, junk....
That's just not even right. Cup or not that's going to hurt like hell. Actually I take that back....without a cup he might have died. And getting up to retrieve the ball? Insane.

Ouch.
I remember in HS a kid got drilled like this. The pitcher was a pro prospect (I think he even made the bigs for a cup of coffee). There was this awful cracking sound and the catcher just fell forward onto his face.
He eventually reached into his pants and pulled out his cup...it was broken into two pieces.
Google "nutty buddy" and click the Youtube link. Fantastic stuff.
This one was funnier than some of the other ones. Nut shots never get old. They're always so funny in an agonizingly painful way.
Go to youtube and type in "Quarter back spikes ball and it hits himself in the nuts". It's hilarious.
Oh, and Baby wants a new lamborghini. Baby gets what baby wants, doesn't he?
Anonymous 4:15 obviously needs to work on his linking skills.
I have no idea how to do that, so I settled for the next best thing.

In a semi-related note, RichRod hits yet another Michigan tradition in the nuts.
I echo Drew's comment. In an AM-LEG game I saw the opposing catcher take one that skipped off the plate and busted his cup. I was a runner on 1B and his teammate looks and me and says "that'll leave a mark".
As a former catcher you really take a beating my knees and fingers are still all f'ed up.
That certainly was a breaking ball..
Heeyyyoooooo!
Ok, so the Dbacks announced tonight that Snyder has a fractured left testicle as a result of the hit.
/throws up in mouth...
I disagree with the announcers, there was at least one ball breaking on that pitch...
Good night!
Actually it was Chris Snyder who had the breaking ball. Well now it's a broken ball, but I think you get my point.
Good Job! :)
Ok, I can't find video of it but Chris Snyder of the Dbacks got a foul-tip to the, uh, junk, last night as well. He finished out the inning but then was replaced.
Oh, and Gracie made a great comment about 'giving him a moment' in a really high pitched voice as a joke.
Not fun to watch...
