T.O. Turns His Attention To ESPN's Football Analysts

Wednesday, October 01, 2008

I'm kind of amazed at how quickly ESPN jumped off the Cowboys' Bandwagon, but whether T.O. and the 'Boys are doing well or not, it's still going to be a major story on the network. Just about every ESPN analyst railed on the receiver after his comments following the loss to the Redskins and now he's firing back at the "Leader" and most notably, Keyshawn Johnson. Via the Star-Telegram....

“It’s me being confident in who I am. Its not going to be the last time you hear me say I need the ball.

Owens took a lot of heat from the ESPN studio analysts Tom Jackson, Keyshawn Johnson and Cris Carter after Sunday’s comments.

On Tuesday, he offered his own rebuttal.

Regarding Keyshawn Johnson, whom Owens’ referred to as Sheshawn at least three times, he said: “[As the No. 1 overall pick in the 1996 draft] he is the ultimate underachiever on that panel. I am the reason he is in the booth. Everybody is aware when I was brought to Dallas he was the one they let go to get me here.”

He said there was one thing he agreed with that Carter had to say and that was that Jerry Rice is the best receiver of all time.

“But I am second all time behind Jerry Rice," Owens said in accentuating his superiority over Carter and Johnson.
It still amazes me that after all these years that it's so easy for people to get under T.O.'s skin. Especially when no one at ESPN was doing so on purpose. They were just responding to comments the receiver made, and explaining how ridiculous they were after 30% of the offense went through him on Sunday. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. It doesn't take a genius to say that T.O. needs to just be quiet and play Football, but coming from one who used to act the same way when he was younger....he might want to listen up.

In the end, I'm just hoping that this small attack on ESPN will tone down the almost constant over-hyping of the Cowboys that the network does on a regular basis.

Dallas Cowboys' Terrell Owens not upset with Romo, offense (Star-Telegram)

You gotta admit though, the "She-shawn" and they brought me here to dump you ass stuff is kinda funny. Childish and unprofessional, yes, but also funny.

Typical "Diva" talk from two of the biggest Divas in recent NFL history. #81 will destory the Cowboys and with Wade Phillips running the ship, it is certainly bound to happen.

Well, Cris Carter is still an asshole so I agree with TO there.

And to think, all offseason we heard that T.O. Was a changed man and the leader of that team. Hilarious. The guy is the same douche he's always been and the Cowboys still aren't going to win a playoff game.

I disilke TO as much the next guy, but ESPN borderlines on ridiculous with how their panelists act towards T.O (Tom Jackson & Keyshawn in particular); Carter & Ditka might criticize, but it doesn't come across as anything personal; Jackson & Keyshawn seem as though TO could save their kids from a burning building & they'd still hate him.

Jackson and 'Sheshawn' absolutely hate T.O personally so much its not even funny. Ditka dont like him, but he's not gonna let it bother him

This story is much to do about nothing. So what he gets upset after the game and says things that wasn't to flattering about the offense. If this was somebody else who made those same comments that the "Leader" like, it wouldn't be a big deal but since its T.O. everybody at the "Leader" wants to throw darts at the man because of their personal bias especially "Sheshawn" and Skip Bayless because most people won't be happy untill T.O. and Romo dislike each other.

I promise you that if any other mercurial receiver demanded more touches after have a third of the offense pointed at him in a loss, it'd be on ESPN bigtime.

There's only one way to settle this: a fatal-four way involving T.O., Ocho Cinco, Me-Shawn, and Carter. Special guest referee: Skip Bayless.

Tom Jackson's mediocrity as a football analyst is evident each week when he opens his mouth. He has bashed T.O. with every oportunity. Owens is a outstanding football player...let him play Jackson. Keep the personal feelings to yourself. Jackson couldn't cover T.O. over the middle on his best day.

I agree... Tom and She-Shawn really does hate T.O. T.O. wants to win, so of course he will be made after a game like that. Especially b/c it was the Washington Redskins. But when Chad Ocho Cinco changed his name.. they were all up there celebrating. Chad causes just as much problems if not more and plus his team is 0-4 but yet he is celebrate, get commercials and everything. T.O. has a bad game and says something and they say that he is a team destroyer.
