NFL Broadcast Maps And Announcing Schedule

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

With any luck the World Series will be pushed back until Sunday so we don't have to deal with Joe Buck back on Football. I'm not ready yet! Alas, that's virtually impossible with the last two games being played in a dome and we'll get Buck and Troy Aikman on the Cowboys-Giants game. On the other side of things, Nantz and Simms are being sent to Buffalo for the Jets-Bills game. CBS just has a terrible set of games and they really had no other choice.

Here's your maps and schedule thanks to the The 506 ....

NBC Sunday Night Football: New England at Indianapolis
ESPN Monday Night Football: Pittsburgh at Washington (Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, Tony Kornheiser)

FOX 1pm:

RED:
Green Bay @ Tennessee - Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa
BLUE: Detroit @ Chicago - Sam Rosen, Tim Ryan
GREEN: Arizona @ St. Louis - Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick
ORANGE: Tampa Bay @ Kansas City - Ron Pitts, Tony Boselli

FOX 4pm:

RED:
Dallas @ NY Giants - Joe Buck, Troy Aikman
BLUE: Philadelphia @ Seattle - Dick Stockton, Brian Baldinger
GREEN: Atlanta @ Oakland - Matt Vasgersian, J.C. Pearson

CBS:

RED:
NY Jets @ Buffalo (1pm) - Jim Nantz, Phil Simms
GREEN: Houston @ Minnesota (1pm) - Dick Enberg, Randy Cross
ORANGE: Baltimore @ Cleveland (1pm) - Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon
YELLOW: Jacksonville @ Cincinnati (1pm) - Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker

BLUE: Miami @ Denver (4pm) - Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf

I think you used the wrong map for Fox 1pm.

Detroit at Chicago is not being shown in Chicago?

I think something's wrong with that map.

I sure hope so. According to the FOX 1pm, Chicago won't be able to see the Bears game

The FOX 1 PM is the Week 8 map.

Hooray! We get the moronic Dan Dierdorf for the Broncos-Dolphins game. Oh well, if the Broncos win, it's all worth it.

I've always wondered why Columbus gets Browns telecasts over Bengals games eventhough Cincinnati is closer. Both teams usually suck, so I have no idea why this is.

AA,
guess you don't understand that the #1 teams are sent to games that will be shown to the most people in teh country.
since the jets game is being televised back to NY -- that easily makes it the most viewed.
same for the giants - except its a home game which has sold out and will be seen in its market.
the concept isn't that hard.

gmoney,
bet you didn't know that the dayton market also takes browns games over bengals.
not too hard to figure out.
the tv gm's want to make money.
browns fans are more passionate than bengals. plus most dayton cable systems have dayton and cincinnati stations on their systems. so why televise the SAME thing when you can be different and reach a larger part of the audience.
do ANY of you understand tv?

oh that's right -- you watch College GameDay! so -- NO you don't understand television.

Ugh, the Eagles have been doing a masterful job this year of avoiding Dick Stockton. Until now.

gmoney: The Browns and Bengals are both on Columbus TV whenever possible. If that can't happen, Columbus TV carries the better matchup.

Anon@2:01: Dayton is a secondary market for the Bengals, thus WHIO-7 must carry all Cincinnati away games. Home games are optional and (as always) subject to blackout.

Well the good news is I can see Packers/ Titans and Jets/Bills at home.

The bad News Siragusa on one game, Nantz and Sims on the other. That is incentive to head to sports bar. The place I go usually has sound off on games.
