Houston Coach Thinks ESPN "Doctored" Foot Stomping Video
Wednesday, January 28, 2009
Interesting news out of Houston today. 1560 The Game's Lance Zierlein (a friend of the site) interviewed Tom Penders today, and the Houston Cougars Coach flat out accused ESPN of doctoring videos. The two were discussing the clip when Cougar player Aubrey Coleman stepped on Chase Buddinger, and Penders stated that the added shadowing, and statement that Coleman is "looking down", was added in to make his player look bad. Take a look and listen at both the video and interview below....
"ESPN made it look like he was looking down. I thought it was a total distortion. And I think it was intentional on their part because I worked there, and I've seen them do this kind of thing."- Tom Penders
Seems like a weak argument if you ask me. They've been putting elements in like the one in the video for a while now, and just because a Sportscaster sees him looking down, doesn't mean that ESPN is out to get you. I could be wrong though.

ESPN didn't need to do anything to that video to prove that Tom's player is an asshole.
If this was such a terrible accident, then why didn't Coleman look back after he stepped on him?
i like the audio of "he wasn't looking down at him..." but he stepped on his faaaaace!
ESPN, in conjunction with the Saucer People, under the supervision of the Reverse Vampires, are forcing Aubrey Coleman to be suspended until that thing on his neck heals.
I'll tell you who it was, it was that damned Sasquatch.
Korky Stewart looked at this guy's neck and said, "damn, what the fuck is that?"
Whether or not the stomp was intentional, ESPN added the graphic when it's pretty clear that he's not looking down at all. They should have just presented the raw footage and let people decide for themselves. Penders is a wackjob, but I see what he's saying here.
Did they doctor the video of that slimebag high fiving his teammates and generally looking happy?
