Houston Cougar Curb-Stomps Chase Budinger's Face
Sunday, January 25, 2009
You know, Arizona's a team in turmoil that's going to get stepped on a lot this year. That doesn't mean you have the right to literally do it, like Houston's Aubrey Coleman did yesterday while visiting Tucson and putting a sneaker into Chase Budinger's grill. The Cougars were up by 8 at the time, and in a righteous sense of karmic payback, lost in overtime.
I first saw the face-stomping while out at the bar, because the game wasn't on in my area, and man, that's just cold. Step on the man's face without even checking to see if he's okay. I mean, damn. Coleman got a flagrant and ejected, of course.

I'm sure there was no racial component to this.
That piece of shit should be thrown out of school...or, more like "school".
I'm glad to know that Chase will have a fine career as an investment banker or dentist, while that pile of crap will be assembling garage doors third shift with Curtis Enis.
Wow, it's as if Coleman was not even apologetic and/or ashamed of what he did. Just classless.
Here's Aubrey Coleman's apology.
That apology still does not excuse him for not turning around and seeing if Buldinger was all right.
I can't believe Chase got teched for his reaction. Pac10 refs continue to be an absolute joke.
Dave Libbey probably would have called a foul on Chase's face.
The moron at that link think it wasn't intentional.
He was just high fiving because of what...
It's morons like that guy who allow this shit to go on.
Houston was up by 12 at the time. And they weren't PAC-10 officials, they were a CUSA crew.
It was a Pac10 crew. The head ref in that crew is something Kennedy. He's been in the Pac10 for a while.
Also, Pac10 teams only play with Pac10 refs at home. It's a bizarre rule that the conference made, but it's one they play by.
Coleman seemed really broken up about the ejection, high-fiving a teammate while we walked off.
