The TBS-Applebees Spots Are As Awkward As Advertised
Sunday, June 01, 2008
About a month ago I told you about a joint venture that Applebees and TBS were going to try during Sundy afternoon games. The plan was to air 30-second spots during each game with Chip Caray and Mitch Williams chatting about different topics during the commercial. I admittedly haven't been watching much TBS Baseball as of late, but I finally caught one today during the Phils-Marlins game. Enjoy!
Pretty awkward if you ask me. I love the random guy on the left just sitting there holding a wing. He seems intrigued. I also like the names that pop up on the screen with the Applebees logo. Nice touch.

Mitch is actually pretty good on post game commentary for the Phillies, it would be cool to see him get job in the booth at FOX,ESPN, or TBS.

Where's the thread for bashing Joe Morgan and Jon Miller?
