On the commentators swap, NBA game should be called by a NCAA-only pxp, not Shulman.
The commentator swap is about Dickie V more than anything. Besides, we don't need to hear Mike Patrick on an NBA broadcast.
The Cavs will bury the paper champs on Friday night.
Why is there never a weekly column of NHL telecasts put on this blog ? The sport is far superior to the daily slop we see in both college and "pro" basketball we are subjected to if we choose to watch (which I do not except for the Mountain West Conference). A weekly post concerning college hockey telecasts is also more than warranted.
My guess about the three amigos being split up: Mike Breen is probably doing the Knicks game in OKC Tuesday night, and the Knicks game in Dallas Thursday night, so they figured they'd leave him in the southwest. JVG + Mark Jackson will be on the east coast (NJ for Jackson, and NC for the Duke game) so Cleveland isn't a stretch for them. I guess ultimately Shulman's low man on the totem pole so he gets the wack travel schedule. Hubie and Breen will be a nice change of pace from the fireside, grandpa and grandson thing Tirico and Hubie have going on.
Just realized Mark Jackson isn't doing Nets games anymore, so never mind that part.

who said hockey is far superior to basketball? That's just YOUR opinion. Not a fact. Besides, I didn't even know hockey was still on TV (other than the weekly NBC game).
Anyone know who is announcing the January 15th game on TNT Nuggets vs. Suns?
There is no posts about hockey because nobody cares about hockey.
can't wait for Cavs vs Lakers, it's a real test for the Cavs to see if they can match up. This could be the finals
Don't watch NBA much but do they usually have those crews? I know the Vitale/Shulman is special, but don't remember the 3 amigos (Breen/Jackson/Gundy) being split up like this during the season.
