Your NFL Broadcast Maps And Announcing Schedule For Week Six

Wednesday, October 08, 2008

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are still hanging around the NFC East like Beetlejuice in Alec Baldwin's model town, but it's still a mystery what happens when you say Buck's name three times in a row. Hopefully FOX doesn't follow Dallas to St. Louis in Week Seven, but anything is possible. CBS, on the other hand, has decided to spurn Brett Favre and has sent Nantz and Simms to Indy for the Colts-Ravens matchup. It seems like a wise idea to go with the better matchup, but with this season, you never know.

Here are the maps, and remember you can head to The 506 for a larger view of each....

Update: Buck is out for the MLB Playoffs....Stockton is officially his fill-in.

Oh man, this has trainwreck written all over it!

Dan Fouts is trying to break into the biz again, I don't mind him, he's pretty good.

At least he attempts to talk football and not stories about flowershops and shit.

Wow, I have a new found respect for Joe Buck! He's going to call the Dallas-Arizona football game and then fly to LA in order to call the baseball game between the Phillies and the Dodgers! What a guy; I hope his flight isn't delayed. :-)

If my memory serves me correctly, Dick Stockton is joining Troy Aikman in Arizona. Not sure how the others are affected, if at all.

AA - O & Dukes are killing Mike & Mike right now. Podcast will probably be up soon. They are making fun of how many times that douche Greenberg mentions the name of the show... among others things.

Damn, jfein. I was hoping Fox Sports put Stockton on the Physically-Unable-To-Broadcast list.

We all wish that, rick james bible owner.

Washington DC gets screwed in a strange way: WUSA9 is being forced to air Ravens-Colts opposite the Redskins home game. Fox 5/DC and the Redskins should throw a red challenge flag on that.

Also, jfein is saying Stockton/Aikman will call Cowboys-Cardinals. Joe Buck is off the NFL until November due to baseball commitments.

"ESPN Monday Night Football: New York Giants at Cleveland"

Tony looks at a match up like this as a chance to promote Tony and his incredible insight into sport.

Anon 11:49- I'm always a little bit behind....listening now.

Also....Stockton it is! Ugh.

AA, last week during the Eagles vs Redskins game Buck said that Dick Stockton was going to do the Ccardinals vs Cowbosys game on Sunday with Aikman.

KUTV Channel 2 in Salt Lake City needs to change its Dish Network program description log to Broncos-Jaguars instead of Raiders-Saints. What's up with Salt Lake City TV stations? Everyone knows the Broncos' games will air and they should because my Broncs are excellent, but they want to be edgy and promote the other game. The Saints will kill the Faiders, while the Broncos-Jags game will be good. Falcons-Bears in the early window is also a good matchup.

I suspect Troy is more comfortable with Mr. Stockton (get your mind out of the gutter people) than Mr. Albert.

BTW, word is Aikman (possibly with Stockton) is calling 49ers/Giants in week 7, so you don't have to worry about Cowboys/Rams being called by them.

Love that picture. The NY Jets' cheerleaders might have the best outfits in all of pro sports.

Best games will be Bears-Falcons. This will be a good test for Ryan.

Why would Fox have its lowest level team (Brenneman, Billick) on a game that is going to be seen by a HUGE portion of the country?

Wierd.

Gus might still be recovering from whatever that was he yelled last Saturday night in Florida.

Good News: No Joe Buck for the Skins

Bad News: Tony Siragusa instead.

I Like Albert and Johnston as an anouncing team, FOX needs to cook the goose.

Proof FOX is going for ratings instead of best game Chicago / Atlanta (Two Top 15 markets)is going to most of country at 1 instead of Carolina / Tampa

@1:22: You can't go wrong with the J-E-T-S when Broadway Joe raves about Ol' #4.

@jg: Da Bears lead Da North while the Falcons have a star RB in Michael Turner.

I am in North Carolina, and along with the Panthers it seems I get a Dallas game every weekend.

I have seen a Cowboys game each week this year...and I live in Southern Illinois. Worst part is...we get the Rams, too. I want Chicago/Atlanta, but at least I get Goose, Moose, and Monotone on the Rams/Skins.
