Going Undefeated Makes Your Fans Want To Off Themselves

Monday, December 24, 2007

There's nothing much going on today out on the Internets this afternoon, so I thought I would post this interesting story out of Foxboro and cut out for the day. A fan was on the walkway heading to Gillette Stadium last evening and decide to jump off it into a snowbank.

The problem.....there was no snowbank.....

NewsCenter 5's Todd Kazakiewich reported that the 20-year old man was on a pedestrian walkway heading towards the stores at Patriot Place about 3:15 p.m.

"All of a sudden he jumped. He was screaming on the way down, then he was silent," said another witness. The man bounced off the pavement below. Police are investigating whether alcohol was involved.

"He definitely had something to drink. I think he had a great deal to drink," said a man who witnessed the incident.
Ouch. Drinking and heights are never a good combination. I can think of multiple occasions where that's the case. Porches are the devil....I think I've seen about 4 or 5 people fall off them while hammered. S2N will be here later tonight for the MNF live-blog and I might post once or twice tomorrow.Stay safe this Holiday Season folks and for goodness sakes....stay grounded.

The guy probably jumped when he realized that Patriots last game of the season is only available on the NFL Network. What the fuck is up with that?? Say what you will about the Patriots but watching their defense punish Paytons' brother is must-see-tv. Too bad nobody is gonna be able to watch it.
