Lou Holtz Gets The Last Post Of The Year

Monday, December 31, 2007

How much does ESPN want you to watch the Rose Bowl? This much....

I've seen possibly 400 ads regarding the Rose Bowl these past two weeks. There were ads in magazines, promos during every Bowl Game on ESPN, and Brent Musburger was trying to get me to watch the game in my dreams (or nightmares). But nothing....NOTHING I tell you....will get me more hyped for a game than a Lou Holtz pep talk.

Have a great New Years Eve everyone, stay safe and I'll see you here tomorrow for a truly great day of action. You never know what will happen.

I have to clean off my keyboard after listening to Lou trying to say Juice Williams and Aurellious Benn.

Too bad I don't have any video of this exchange during the Music City Bowl halftime show:

Lou Holtz: "I wouldn't make any New Year's Eve plans and watch the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. I'll be watching."
Mark May: "We're in Bristol. It's not like there are any places to go tonight."
Rece Davis: "We've got some news and notes before Mark gets in trouble."
Mark tries to say something, but there's some quick silence.
RD: "Cut his mike."
LH: "Or his throat."
RD: "Easy Lou."

Have a good night AA. I guess I'll see you for the Rose Bowl in

I guess it's safe to say that the Rose Bowl will be the only BCS bowl game worthy of an ESPN Countdown Clock. Fucking scumbags.

Fuck you kf

ESPN needs to stop acting like their BCS game is the only one on television. There's a difference between self-promotion and ignorance. ESPN has crossed this line. Again. You'd swear the Sugar Bowl wasn't being played tonight.

And again, kf, people wouldn't have this problem if they didn't proclaim themselves The Worldwide Leader in Sports. They should call themselves The Worldwide Leader of Sports on Our Network.

You didn't learn in '07 -- hopefully you learn in '08.
Don't watch ESPN!
You complain about everything they do but you still watch? WHY?

Shut the fuck up, at least have the balls to put your name.

Fox pimps meaningless games all the time. Then they have the cast of house their on the sidelines.

Espin have been pimping lsu and ohio. That is the only game that matters.

I may be a pussy but at least I have balls to put my name.

Sugar and all the other bs bcs games don't matter dumbass including the rose bowl. The mnc is the only one, any fan knows that.

@anon 11:43:
Let me take a wild guess that you're a Hawaii/Georgia fan.
The only BCS game commercial I've seen on Fox/FSN before today has been for the MNC game on the 7th. No Orange, no Sugar, no Fiesta, and certainly not the Rose.
