No Doug, We Didn't Hear You
Thursday, March 06, 2008
This is Doug Birdsong of Bison Sports Network. Doug seems pretty depressed as Navy goes up two in triple overtime and looks like they're going to pull a Patriot League win out. That will change soon enough....
BING! GO!!! Yep...still March.

Off topic, AA, but during the Michigan State-Illinois game, Brent & Steve were blathering on about the absence of Chief Illiniwek. They showed some 'nozzle wearing an "Illini forever" T-shirt, who then turned around to the back that had the Chief pissing on the NCAA logo. The only thing better was Lavin saying they should bring the Chief back as a Peacock so "no one's offended." Way to spice up an Erin-less broadcast, guys!
Usually love homer calls, but this one's awful.
Welcome to March, bitches!!! Or Smarch if you're more comfortable with that.
B7
oops...hit the wrong button.
Anyway, this guy should be on the same broadcast team with the G'town guy.
I BELIEVE HE WAS FOULED
BINGO!
I BELIEVE HE WAS FOULED
BINGO!
The dipshits that make calls like this can't possibly think that they are enhancing the game for their audience, can they?
Some homer calls are acceptable, this one is terrible in that you know, know that he's been practicing it, waiting for a chance to bring it out, and the ridiculous 'in case you didn't hear me' line...moronic.
He doesn't do it to enhance the broadcast. He does it to get on SportsCenter.
Great call by Doug. Go Bison!
