Tim McCarver Is Now Officially The Most Random Announcer In The History Of Sports

You know it's bad when a show like Family Guy busts on you and now a Pop Culture site like Best Week Ever takes you on as well. Here is Tim McCarver from this past weekend comparing Philadelphia Phillies coach Charlie Manuel to Civil War Generals....
ICYMI: Tim McCarver is F-ing Insane
I don't even know what to say to that. "Think about how underestimated the Southern Generals were"?!?!?! What in the hell does that even mean? I'm so confused right now and my head hurts.

Was bringing up the slow Southern drawl just a convoluted way of McCarver saying "I'm really not a stupid as I sound"?
Hey, who could forget the way Robert E. Lee defended his boys from the heavy artillery of the press corps after they blew a late-game lead at Gettysburg?
You know what else Charlie Manuel has in common with Southern generals? Not winning.
But I gotta agree with Jay; it's definitely Timmay trying to defend himself.
I remember watching this on Saturday wondering what the hell McCarver was talking about. Usually when he's with Joe Buck, Joe will let him go on and on about nothing until the game ends. Fox should just get Vin Scully to do the Saturday Game of the Week by himself
This he sleep with his rebel flag covers on the road?
Yep, this pretty much ends the debate...Tim McCarver supports slavery.
keeping with randomness....random question AA, what were the last games/sporting events you've attended in person? Or do you watch most on TV so you can get good blog material?
Even Emmitt Smith thinks Tim McCarver is debacled.
It's now official: Tim McCarver makes less sense than Rod Allen, and therefore, should be removed from National TV broadcasts immediately. Is he this bad on his own TV show? If he is, I'd love to see him ask some random figure skater who their favorite Southern general is.
I'd like to meet the guy who underestimated Lee or Stonewall.
McCarver, you make my butt sting.
