The Arena Football League Gets Even More Lame
Wednesday, April 23, 2008
So with this emailed YouTube video I got a note that this Monday's Philly Soul-Dallas Desperados matchup is probably the biggest AFL game of the year. Apparently it's a big rivalry in the league, so much so that the Philly Soul cheerleaders are learning how to trash talk.....
Is that really even trash talking? I'm sure Dallas is going to be absolutely furious after viewing that egregious and unwarranted attack on their Football team!
(Thanks to SS for the vid)

As a someone from outside of Philly, I can defend this perfectly. No professional Philadelphia sports team has won a championship since 1983 when the 76ers won the NBA finals. To put this in perspective, this is a greater number of total seasons than the Boston Red Sox went without a World Series (look it up). And it just so happens that there are two unbeaten teams remaining in the AFL: Philly and Dallas. And just like the NFL, Philadelphia and Dallas are division rivals.
For those that have never watched Arena Football, check out the game on Monday on ESPN between Philly and Dallas, and you'll be surprised at a). its popularity and b). how fun it is to watch.
If this isn't a sign of the apocalypse I don't know what is.
I can totally see Eagles fans chanting this at the Linc during Cowboy games. :-o
What? Are you telling me that a league with a team owned by Bon Jovi (and apparently no other teams exist) isn't legitimate?
