The Favre-Van Susteren Interview In Its Entirety

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

So here it is. I really regretted putting this together halfway through, and I can't believe there's an entire second part tomorrow, but I know my role. Enjoy Favre's first interview since announcing his desire to comeback.

This whole thing is just exhausting isn't it? I can't even figure out who knows what, who said what, and who wants what. I don't even know whether I'm sick of it or not. Of course I am, but the level of this "comeback" is almost unprecedented enough to make it interesting. Just crazy on so many levels.

Hello all , I've never been a Packers fan nor a Favre fan and I haven't been following the story ad nauseum either.... But from this interview the packers are looking bad !!! Why won't they let him play elsewhere? And why on earth would mc carthy tell him he'd have let him make his mind right before trainning camp? Someone's lying out there.......
btw How many players that were on 1995 rosters (the year I started following the nfl) would still be active if he left? I'll try to look that up....

Favre is a 10 year old stuck in a 38 year old body. I'm so sick of this 'story', and the sad thing is, it is not going to go away till week 1, at the very earliest. My packers would be so much better off without the constant distraction...

i used to respect brett. but now whats going on? dr4m4. thats whats going on. whatever happened to being a team player? all im hearing is me, me, me. and well i can respect his right to want to play again, i think hes certainly going about it all wrong. why not just show up at training camp like everyone else and play for your spot. He's retired, yet he says he never signed retirement papers? he wants to play again...yet he doesnt know if hes ready... flip...flop...someones lying here. if you ask me, he told the packers his intentions were to retire and that he was done, so they moved on. if it comes down to whose lying and making a bigger deal out of this than it is, its my opinion that brett is up for yet another record. its sad to think that such a brilliant, memorable career here in green bay will be summed up and most always end up referring to this fodder. i loved the guy and thanks for the memories. but theres no 'i' in team, especially in green bay. the way he is shaming our organization is sad to say the least. again, thx 4 the memories but lets end the dr4m4.
