Breaking News: ESPN's Attempt At Acquiring The ASU-Oregon Game Succeeds

Monday, October 29, 2007

For all of the ESPN "Nonsense" that I give you on this site there's the one or two great things that they put together. According to a great source......

ESPN has actually pulled off their attempt in carrying the ASU-Oregon game this Saturday! The word is that it will at 6:40 and that it will be blacked out in Oregon and Arizona, but he local telecast will still show the game.

I want to personally thank ESPN for their attempt to get the game to the masses, and for somehow succeeding. It's not often I say that, so print it out and put it on the fridge!

This is easily the best thing ESPN has done in like the past 10 years. The only thing better would be to have moved it to 8 Eastern and put it on ABC.

Except then you would have to listen to Musberger do the game.

Games of the magnitude MUST be on national television.

By the way, ESPN in Eugene, again, this week.

ESPN bailed out the Pac-10 big time on this one. If this game wasn't televised nationally, heads had to roll. I'm glad someone got it right. Could you imagine a game in the SEC featuring top-5 teams even having this discussion? Unbelievable.

Lee Corso dropped horse heads in the Pac-10 officials' beds and spit Herby's blood all over their sheets. The game clearly had to be given up for that spectacular show.

This is great news. I am an ASU alum and was about to add the Direct TV sports package just to see this game.

You made my day.
