Gameday Heads To University Of Kentucky For The First Time Ever
Friday, October 19, 2007
Crazy College Football season we've got on our hands huh? So crazy that College Gameday is going to be live from LSU Florida Auburn Alabama Tennessee Georgia South Carolina Arkansas KENTUCKY!
Since Gameday's inception in 1992 the show had been to all of the above SEC schools numerous times, but now Kentucky can add it's name to the list (don't hold your breath Vandy).
The Wildcats have grabbed national attention since Kelley stopped Louisiana State running back Charles Scott short of a first down in triple overtime on Saturday night, sealing a win against then-No. 1 LSU.You better bring it Kentucky! I want to see some Tebow signs, Corso signs, and hopefully a bit nudity to top it all off. Also, let's try not to make it like the 22 Arrest Night after the LSU upset okay? Okay.
And the exposure isn't slowing down.
The football version of ESPN's "College GameDay" will be in Lexington for the first time on Saturday, when the 8th-ranked Wildcats host No. 14 Florida. CBS will televise that game from Commonwealth Stadium at 3:30 p.m.
At least 22 people were arrested Saturday night in the celebration after UK's win against LSU, The Associated Press reported.National media, audiences taking note of UK (Courier-Journal)
Most of the arrests were for disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication and trespassing, the latter the charge for rushing onto the field at Commonwealth Stadium.

22 arrests? Maybe Kentucky is on its way to becoming a big time program in football.
22 arrests? Ohio State laughs at you.
We're not just a basketball school, now. And to all those Wildcats that were chanting "Fire Rich Brooks!" Fuck you.
Friday night before UConn-Louisville game: Corso & Herbie already said UK was the most likely Top 10 team to lose.
Must not have gotten any free meals in Lexington.
Take that Rich Brooks' daughter.
It'll be easy to spot the Wazzou flag this week.
During the LSU game me and my brother were ~5 miles away from Commonwealth last week at a 7:30 wedding in Lexington as we sat people. Tomorrow I'll be watching from home about 15 miles from the stadium, but I'm happy to say my brother will be in attendance tomorrow (15 rows up on the 45 yard line, and no he's not selling them). AA, trust me when I say this: You will NOT be disappointed with the signs/nudity/drunken chicanery that will be present in T-Minus 9.5 hours!!!
Last time we beat FLA was '86: I was 11 and Tebow was -1.
Hope everyone is prepared for the 44-24 Wildcat VICTORY! (and as the crowd chanted BULLSHIT " " " " to Corso and Herby earlier tonight I hope they are ready to eat some crow about 7:30pm tomorrow!)
Gameday was in Fayetteville, Arkansas last year for the UA/Tenn game. So, Gameday has been to 9 of the SEC's 12 campuses. Only Vandy, Ole Miss and Miss St. have been left out.
Take that you fun-to-watch, super-talented, one loss and undefeated PAC-10 schools! LOL
