Who Are Our Guests For The Monday Night Football Live-Blog Tonight?
Monday, October 22, 2007
Sorry for the random title, but I was trying to work in that I am actually doing the Live-Blog tonight for the MNFer and that there will be guests in the booth. And yes....that's plural folks.
Steve Carell and Russell Crowe are expected to be the in-booth guests for this week. Crowe was on College Gameday earlier this year so that's not a surprise, but Carell being on an NBC show is definitely a surprise. I was thinking that he had a Disney movie coming out, but I can't seem to find it (Not Evan Almighty on DVD, Not Dan In Real Life, and not Horton Hears a Who). Anyone have any insight?

Update: "Dan in Real Life is a Touchstone film; Touchstone is a Disney company."- Mr. Pants
Well thank you Mr. Pants....I knew there was something I was missing. Oooh and Steve Carell's character is a writer who has a column on his life right? Who else used to do that??? That's right....this guy....
Oh and there's this too........."Dylan McDermott and other cast members of ABC’s “Big Shots” will take a look at the Colts-Jaguars matchup." (SBD)

You have GOT to be fucking kidding me.
I can feel another bad rant coming on, must. have. self. control.
Hopefully, Crowe talks about his buddy Lloyd Carr.
Hopefully Crowe does his brooding intense ACTOR schtick and gets Tony all out of sorts...
"So do you like American football?"
"Well..."
Then Korny starts hitting on him.
Dan in Real Life is a Touchstone film; Touchstone is a Disney company.
Carrell is on this show called "The Office" that is on NBC.
Mr. Pants is correct. Dan in Real Life is part of the Disneyopolis.

Crowe's American Gangster has no Disney Connection so that's a little surprising. 3:10 to Yuma was completely bad-ass by the way.
Crowe is in the booth so he and Tirico can talk about Michigan. What's the over/under on seconds into the interview before Michigan is mentioned?
Didn't the guy who runs MNF say that these guests would need to have some relevance to the game or they wouldn't be considered?
I guess that was just more corporate bullshit.
So Carell for the thrd quarter, Crowe for the fourth.
I'll have to settle for the radio, I guess.
What a farce.
Peyton Manning won't be TiVoing this broadcast, anyways.

Maybe Russell Crowe will punch out Kornheiser. We can only hope.
Thank God ESPN did that, because watching Peyton Manning and the defending Super Bowl champions with a chance to go unbeaten (until they play New England) wasn't enough for me. I needed CELEBRITIES to draw me in.
