My Kid Will Be Able To Do This Before Age 10

Tuesday, February 05, 2008

This story just gets crazier and crazier as it goes on. Check out 11-year old Jayshon Augusto...

An under 5-minute mile? Good lord! Nike needs to know about this kid. What am I saying? They knew about him at age 6.

My dad sent me a link to that in an email actually. That kid is ridiculous, but there is no way his father is really that laid back about it all. The kid needs to get to the gym somehow, and he's too young to be going alone, no matter how jacked he is.

But my dad got that from his friend Billy Hahn, the old Terps basketball assistant and now assistant at WVU... I'm still waiting to hear whether they offered him a scholarship yet.

I loved Billy Hahn at MD. He was the only person who could yell as loud as Gary Williams.

Apparently this kid's dad thinks Pete Maravich had a wonderful childhood. The kid has freakish lungs and that's great. But this is the sporting version of showbiz moms and dads at 6-year-old beauty pageants.

It's going to be really disappointing when he tops out at 5'5" eh?

At least he can freakin' run like a demon. That's absurd.

Could the reporter's VO be anymore annoying? Could the reporter's VO be anymore repetative? Could the reporter's reporting be anymore annoying?

Kid, get a bluetooth so you can take calls on your cell from Kelvin Sampson while you practice.

This kid is destined to be a superstar. You know how well it worked out for Todd Marinov... Oh...Nevermind.

Imagine it cutting out at around 1:15, right when he says "No, Jayshon's not average" and the screen going to black and showing "IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING".
