The Taco Bell was one of the best commercials, but overall they sucked. Geez. Us bloggers are much more creative than these ad agencies apparently. Give us 3 months to come up with someone and we could do better than this. What bullshit.

God these ads were friggin terrible. The only one I remotely enjoyed was the Coke Grand Theft Auto spoof.

My personal favorite was the one for the GPS company (Garmin, right?) where the map grew out of control Godzilla-style.

Most of 'em did suck this year, though.

Yeah, it feels abit like the ad guys weren't even trying this year. Or maybe they were trying too hard?

Atleast we had plenty of 'Phil Simms Specials' to keep us going!

I didn't care for the shirtless dudes surrounding the car ad, but the girl I was watching the game with squealed with delight. "That one's my favorite!" she exclaimed.

Normally I would have retorted with a response about how the ad likely turned off many men (the apparent target demo), or at least turned me off, but she was putting up with me yelling at the TV during big plays, so I let it ride.

The Coke/GTA one wasn't even a new ad - I've seen it before, definitely, although I can't remember how long ago.

The dudes washing the car one was perhaps the worst. The ad purported to be aimed at guys. Straight guys wouldn't have liked it - shirtless males? WTF? - and even gay guys might not have, since a lot of the shirtless dudes were fat and ugly. A huge mess.

The Bud Light ax was my favorite too. Was anyone else reminded of an episode of Power Rangers during that gps commercial? I thought it was hysterical.

My favorite was the Blockbuster one with the rabbit, gerbil and mouse, mainly because it explains so much about the way my in-laws' cat does things.

We used to think she was just sadistic, playing with mice for hours before killing them. Now, we know she just wants to check her email.

And the one where everyone was sad at the end of football season, the contest winner? Sounded like a great idea when the guy pitched it, but the execution was lousy.

Even before they included Brett Favre.

Does anyone think Mencia is funny? That guy fucking blows.

Steagles - I definitely expected the guy to yell "IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!" before the transformation.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one! I guess most fans weren't fortunate enough to grow up during the Rangers' era, but I had major flashbacks to their morphin battles. It had to be on purpose, right?

Had to be. I don't remember Godzilla movies having faux-power-metal soundtracks, while Power Rangers episodes had 'em.

Damn. As a former resident of both Pittsburgh and Philly, any reference to the long-forgotten Steagles just warms my heart.
