Breaking News: Cowher Added to CBS' NFL Today

Thursday, February 15, 2007

This just in.....Bill Cowher will be a part of the NFL Today Pregame Show for CBS in 2007.

Cowher sent mixed signals as to how long he plans to stay away from coaching. Initially, he said, "It's an opportunity to stay busy on Sundays and it may go beyond this year." Later in the call, he said, "I'm planning on doing this for a couple of years." However, he would not officially commit to appearing beyond one season, saying, "It's an opportunity to remain a part of the NFL, and it may go a lot longer than that."
CBS will add Cowher to the show without any of the other analysts leaving -- Dan Marino, Shannon Sharpe and Boomer Esiason will return, as will host James Brown and former NFL general manager Charlie Casserly.

I can only hope that Bettis and him start a feud between CBS and NBC.

P.S.- Nice sweater Bill. CBS' wardrobe crew has their work cut out for them.

This news just made my day! I thought Cowher did very well on the Super Bowl pregame and can't wait to see what he has to say (and wear) every Sunday.

Oh and since you've been on a late-night youtube athlete spree, Ben Roethlisberger is going to be on Carson Daly's show tonight. Now I know no human being with functioning eyes and ears should really be exposed to that show, but I just thought I'd let you know.

CBS should invest in some spit guards for the camera lenses.

Good hire.
