Tim Hardaway Crosses Up Dan Lebatard

Thursday, February 15, 2007

You may have already seen/heard this item, but I had to touch on it this morning. Tim Hardaway was a guest on Dan Lebetard's radio show on 790 The Ticket in South Florida, and when asked about John Amaechi he had the following to say.....Audio

"First of all, I wouldn't want him on my team. And second of all, if he was on my team, I would, you know, really distance myself from him because, uh, I don't think that's right. And you know I don't think he should be in the locker room while we're in the locker room. I wouldn't even be a part of that."

"You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people. I am homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States."
Mike Greenberg is doing a great job handling the story (probably a first) this morning with Golic out. The sad thing is that Tim Hardaway used to be my favorite player back in the day. I loved me some RUN TMC. But this is just bigotry and classlessness at its finest.

"I don't even want to go hypothetical wit dat"- TH, When asked what if Dwayne Wade was gay.

(Side Note: Yesterday on Cold Pizza they had a relationship specialist on to predict which coach would fit best with the Chargers. Seriously....please cut that show.)
