Everyone Wants Gets A Talk Show These Days
Thursday, March 22, 2007
Who's next on the list? Sorry Boston.....Boston Globe columnist Bob Ryan and hater of Bill Simmons has a new TV Show on NESN. From the Globe.....
Globe columnist Bob Ryan was named yesterday as host of NESN's new sports talk show, "The Globe 10.0," presented by Verizon.Umm, what does he mean by "National Following? Is the word following a synonym for loathing these days? Oh well....it's that same story. Great writer gets noticed....gets famous....isn't ever the same. But hey.....at least now he can say the Red Sox have no shot at the World Series on television now.....Not just in print....and then they go on to win the World Series.
The show will feature animated on-screen graphics and a countdown clock to keep the pace moving. NESN also will include New England fans by choosing at least two fan-submitted questions each day for the 10.0 list. As a bonus, Ryan will set aside an 11th question to be answered on nesn.com and aired on that evening's "NESN SportsDesk."
" 'The Globe 10.0' will be like cramming a full day of sports talk radio into 30 minutes," said Joel Field, NESN's vice president of programming. "Bob Ryan is one of the most respected and popular journalists in the country. He is a frequent contributor to NESN and has a national television following."

You mean Bob Ryan, who should have been FIRED by the Boston Globe for suggesting someone should hit Mrs. Jason Kidd, is taken seriously by anyone? Ryan should have been history years ago for that. But hey he is a media star, like the other Boston institution Barnacle, who oops, made up stories. Its amazing that the media business is in the business of reporting to the masses, yet again hear we have someone who should have lost that right on TV. What a business, the bigger the loser, the beter positioned they become like Ryan

Bob Ryan looks like John Locke's father on Lost.
