WWE Puts Your League's Marketing Department To Shame

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

I haven't watched the WWF in years, but this just had me rolling on the floor. Apparently they have a plot line that began last night in Pennsylvania that has left their Chairman and mogul Vince McMahon dead.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – WWE.com has learned that United States federal agents have arrived at the crime scene in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where Mr. McMahon was presumed dead less than 24 hours ago. As rumored, given the severity and nature of the car bombing, by law, federal authorities have taken full control of the investigation.

As first speculated in previous reports by WWE.com, last night’s limousine explosion was the result of a car bomb, as confirmed by federal agents. Moreover, it has been confirmed that a body was not recovered from the limousine’s blackened remains. Investigators believe that Mr. McMahon’s body could possibly have been incinerated in the blast.
I wonder how many outlets are reporting this as his actual death? People are saying that they don't know if it's a hoax or not....uhh, let's check the tape.....

Hoax. Also, According to the release, "people from Mr. McMahon's past - from Donald Trump to Snoop Dogg to Bob Costas to Stone Cold Steve Austin - had less than flattering things to say about the WWE Chairman, but would any go so far as to actually blow him up?" It was sooooo Costas....that d***!!!

I have absolutely no reason not to trust everything professional wrestling tells me. None whatsoever.

I know there are people out there who think wrestling is real, but unless they've been lobotomized, even they have to be saying, "Dude; this time you've crossed the line."

Wait a minute, wasn't Roger Clemens in Wilkes-Barre less than one week ago??? Me thinks we have a prime suspect for this "murder".

Maybe Stern and Bettman should get some advise from Vince...

It's fake. He hesitated before closing the door, so that means he got out before it blew up. I don't see how they're gonna run with this.

It's gotta be Phil Mushnick. Mushnick would definitely blow up Mr. McMahon's limo.

I'm guessing that Dwight Schrute made the short trip on I-81 from Scranton and did the deed.

Anytime my home region is featured in fake sports, fake documentaries on network television, or any other semi-ridiculous medium, I'm satisfied.

Haha, very nice.

And a Dwight Shrute - McMahon fued would be fantastic, of course that is when McMahon conveniently comes back to life during a pay per view.

The site has an ad that says "Touch the Fart Button".

Shouldn't that be your fist clue that this is BS?

KISS 95.7 in Hartford, CT actually reported this morning that Vinny Mac had really died. I guess P.T. Barnum was right...

I'd blame the Iron Sheik, but he's too busy going after The Ultimate Warrior.

I think this will blow up in WWE's face "pun intended". This is fairly sick stuff even for the WWE, there are some thigns you just don't joke about and death is one of them. Apparently there are laods of mourners at WWE headquarters, some people are not to bright!! LOL

Wrestling has crossed a line in a bigger sense. We all know that these moves and acting professional wrestlers put on are all fake. Taking this to a whole new level of McMahon's death is outrageous. You can't even find any articles on CNN, Fox news, Cbs, any of these major new broadcasters. So why only on WWE.com can you only find the information? He's a big celebrity with a lot of money, I'm sure this news would be real if this was posted up and shown on major news corporations like CNN if this were real.

WWE has hit a new low with this one. Their ratings must have been in the garbage for them to come up with something like this. Im sitting here watching Smackdown right now. Seems to me that every time a wrestler has passed, mostly all wrestlers that are interviewed are visibly upset and most are crying. Im yet to see this out of anyone. Even the Divas. WHAT A CROCK!!

if everyone remembers when owen heart passed away they never showed the actual footage even live tv has a delay if vince had died they would not be showing it on tv over and over again if this is fake it is wrong because some children do watch this and to confuse them about death is wrong!

This quote from the timesleader.com, a local newspaper for northeaster PA:
"workers at the Luzerne County 911 Center confirmed that it was “a stunt” and that no emergency vehicles were called to the arena on Monday night."

I think Vince believes that the WWE's viewers can only get into a PG-13 movie. Ok, maybe many of them never got passed 6 grade. At least they can still get into a R rated movie. Makes no difference. This is wrestling entertainment. NOT A REAL SPORT. This is just a bad male soap opera with body slams.

i say it is a fake, if it was true where is the limo driver, don't they open the door for the person to get in, plus the limo was running when vince got in, which to me means the limo diver would have been in the drivers seat if he didn't open the door for vince, the drivers are supposed to stay with the car and be ready to go when the person using the limo's service is ready to go but there is no mention of the limo driver getting killed, and last thing is how did the camara know to back up, all the other times the camara'a stayed in 1 spot as the cars drive away. this is just my opinion.

WWE has definately stooped to an all time low with this trick. Vince is not dead, there's no way he could be and it stay so low-key with the media, not once has it been in the newspaper or on the news or anything. I think he will reappear during sunday nights PPV and this is a huge hoax to get people to purchase PPV just out of curiousity, cuz if you noticed last night Stephanie had mentioned inviting everyone to watch the PPV show on sunday.
It's ridiculous and fake as He**, no emotion has came out of anyone, not one tear! The supposed investigators, i cannot find record of...they are all actors.
too many questions unanswered. Why was the limo driver conviently talking to his wife on his cell around the building? Why did Vince hesitate to open the limo door if he didn't know what was going on? Why did he mention that night something about a "dark cloud" in his future? Why was the limo running with no driver nearby? Why was the limo parked so far away from the door? Why when vince got in the car you see his foot lift up into the car and then drop back down right before shutting the door (time consumer to make you think he was still there)? Why was the explosion so "movie like"...just a little too good for a quick make-shift explosion?
It's fake and he'll appear in PPV more than likely!!!

MIGHTY SOB! How did Vnce pull out that stunt. I bet this Ring Master must be hiding under one of the mats in the Maddison Square Garden.

We don't need to speculate on this! Because while we speculate, he is somewhere laughing his way to ultimate glory. Let's hope he dies of heart-attack while laughing!

Hmm. interesting... did he really kill himself??? NO ONE HAS A CLUE. yesterday night the limo driver spoke about how he got a phone call from his wife and lost reception so he wondered to a better spot. but did you see Vince's face before he got in?? same ol' face he gives to everyone!!! LOL i don't know whats going to happen. and when Stephanie came out [[the worst actress of all]] and she says that someone is gonna pay for killing her father and how she misses him and runs off. i dont know.. its fishy!!!!

If he isn't dead then OMG!! I can't believe that they would do that. For me being a wrestling fan since I was introduced to it, I first beleived that he died. Then now coming to think of it, he didn't. I mean I wouldn't fake a death to get attention somewhere in the world. I mean it's kind of shame that if you ain't dead and there's all these people mourning for you and you just around the corner watching all this happening. I just don't like the way they plot this act, it's like hurtful to hear that he ain't dead cause you feeling sorry and they do this. But this is how I feel

What an idiot. What does he plan to do now. Appear next to the undertaker to get revenge on anyone or everyone. Can't you tell the WWE's going down the pan. I accually used to like it before it became WAY TOO commercial and all the wrestlers became afraid of breaking a nail. Even most of the injuries are staged in today's WWE. It's a shame because it's a much better sport when it's real.

It's sad to hear. I always hope that people become more peaceful after such tchnical and science progress. But when I see such cruel and unreasonable acts, I'm shocked.
