I saw the tagline this morning and got all giddy. Harold Reynolds court date set for February. Wow, perfect timing....right after Bowl Season and the Super Bowl. 2008 is (was) going to be off to a great start. Well get this....the Portland Tribune is reporting that the date is February...
The court date for Harold Reynolds’ lawsuit against ESPN has been set – for February 2009. Reynolds is asking for up to $15 million for breach of contract, wrongful dismissal and defamation of character after the network dismissed him in July 2006 on sexual-harassment charges. The Corvallis native and former major league All-Star second baseman, who worked for ESPN for 11 years, will begin depositions next month.Wow. The Justice System sure is fast! The Portland Tribune is actually the only paper that has this item, so it could be false. But that's a hell of a long time.
Do you think that's enough time for ESPN to get their ducks in a row? Yeah, me too.
