FOX To Magically Turn Into ESPN For The Super Bowl
Thursday, August 16, 2007
I guess this makes sense as far as synergy goes, but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. Ryan Seacrest.....yes RYAN SEACREST.....will most likely be your Super Bowl XLII Pregame and Halftime Host (just kill me now please). Via TMZ...
Nonetheless, word on the street is, the "Idol" ringmaster will handle pre-game and halftime hosting duties of the Super Bowl on Fox next February. Because nothing says manly man like a guy with frosted highlights. Seacrest out!Wow. Just wow. I have no words. Let's just hope Elliot Yamin isn't on anthem duty....
Ohhhhhhhh Ohhhhhhhhh Sayyyyy Doiiiiiiii YOU SEEEEE!
The Super Bowl Gets More SUPER (Deadspin)

Seacrest is actually a very talented speaker, emcee, radio host, tv personality. He is huge in entertainment. He is the new Dick Clark. I think he'll do a fine job at the Superbowl. It's not as if he's calling the game!
And that Elliot kid can sing.
I know I'm going to catch crap for this, but better Seacrest than Joe Buck. I have respect for the guy after his cameo in Knocked Up.
I thought we determined yesterday that Jim Ross should handle everything related to the NFL???
I'm so glad to see that we're making such a difference in all of those corporate synergy scumbags changing their marketing strategies.
Good Ol' JR on the NFL, that'd be something else. He could certainly put Joe Buck's "disgusting display" call to shame when someone was heeling it up.
"THIS IS A DAMN TRAVESTY! DAMNIT TO HELL!"
wow seacrest talent or not DOESNT BELONG ON THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!
but oh well. i wish Brennahman (sp?) would call the game seeing as to how hes already called a great game in that stadium (see Boise St. game).
wow Yamin really rocked with that ponytail, and the poor hygene.
What about the commercial PODS?
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of!"
