The NFL on FOX Adds Another Studio Host
Wednesday, August 15, 2007
So who's ready for a weekly feature of ex-Cowboy coaches debating BCS Standings on an NFL Show (just shoot me now)? For some reason (that's completely beyond me) the NFL on FOX has decided to hire Barry Switzer to join the pregame show.
Fox Sports announced Tuesday that Barry Switzer is joining the cast of its Fox NFL Sunday pregame show. Switzer will debate ex-Cowboys field general Jimmy Johnson in a weekly "Coaches Corner" segment and analyze NFL action and college football's BCS standings.Ugh. When are they going to learn? My Redskin Fandom aside.....is there anything more annoying on this planet than an ex-Cowboys' coach??? Not only can you enjoy Barry Switzer on television this season, but on XM radio as well (FYI- I got a press release on this but didn't think I'd waste your time telling you about it).
Johnson said Fox colleague Terry Bradshaw will referee the debates. "Terry will keep us separated," he jokes. Johnson added that ex-Cowboys coach-turned new ESPN football analyst Bill Parcells visited him in the offseason to talk football.

With Fox, the only requirement to be an analyst is breathing..
Bring in Dave Campo to complete the triumverate of shittiness.
I was hoping to "DEAR GOD!!!" that this article was going to say that Jim Ross was coming to the FOX booth.
I'm just disappointed its not Jim Ross. Damn you, AA! Damn you straight to HELL!
Sorry everyone. I would have rather it be him.
FIRE AND BRIMSTONE!!!
OH MY GOD, IS THAT BARRY SWITZER'S MUSIC?????
I heard they just exhumed Tom Landry's body. He's joining the CBS team, replacing Marino.
Word is, CBS doesn't think anyone will notice.
It used to be if you wanted to get a job in sports journalism (especially ESPN), you had to go to Syracuse.
Now it's if you want to be a sports analyst (especially football), it's mandatory that you have a connection to USC, Notre Dame, a Big Ten school (usually Michigan), the Cowboys, or some New York team.
