CBS Sports Producer Arrested For Disgusting Crime

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

There are some things you shake your head at and others that just appall you. This is the latter. A CBS Sports Producer has been arrested in Miami for soliciting sex with a minor. You'd think that's bad enough well wait to you read the details surrounding the arrest.....

Daniel Barron, 56, was arrested and charged with solicitation to commit sexual battery on a child under the age of 12 Saturday.

Police said Barron, a CBS sports television producer, chatted on the Internet with an undercover detective who was posing as a father willing to let Barron have sex with his 11-year-old daughter as well as sleep nude with her in exchange for tickets to the Miami Dolphins football game Sunday.

According to a police report, Barron told the undercover officer that he was looking forward to meeting the daughter, allegedly telling the detective, "I will be very gentle with her."
Just horrible. And I'm going to echo The Big Lead's sentiment here.....for Dolphins tickets? What the f**k. There are some sick people out there and thank god this guy has been caught.

Jeesh, why didn't he just have sex with Gus Johnson? He was doing the Fins/Raiders game.

He should be forced to sit in the Raiders section with a t-shirt that says "sex offender" on it. Hopefully, they'd not take to it kindly, and give new meaning to the term "black hole."

He should be forced to watch every Notre Dame Offensive play from the year 2007 on a continuous loop.

I wonder what perversions have been offered to Bill Simmons for his Pats tickets, in that case.

People like this man are sick. They need to be identified and not given a second chance. One event like the one arranged in this story would destroy a child's life. Punishments for these types of crimes need to be very very harsh. We are all sexual beings, but unlike wild animals we have the ability to control these urges, and if a person is not able to control their sexual behavior, then they do not belong in mainstream society. I am not going to go so far as to say the man should be castrated or terminated, but I wouldnt picket for his rights. The damage this man could have caused a young girl/woman is irrepairable and permanent.
