Familiar Faces In Same Places

Peter Gammons recently got signed to a multi-year extension at ESPN, which is definitely a no-brainer. The interesting part is that they've added to his weekly duties during the season. Not only will Peter be on Baseball Tonight, Sports Center and writing for ESPN the Magazine....he will have a more prominent role in Sunday Night Baseball telecasts.
Gammons will be on hand for the majority of games as an on-field reporter.
Baseball Tonight/ESPN has also renewed the contract of Orestes Destrade who will be prominent on MLB's XM Radio as well as being Harold Reynolds replacement for the Little League World Series.
I think anyone is better than Eric Karros.....I mean seriously, who laughs at a crying kid?

Actually, Peter Gammons already had the reporter role on Sunday Night Baseball last year, and worked every week up to when the brain aneurysm (sp) happened, sharing the reporting duties with Sam Ryan until she left ESPN.
That kid has no reason to cry. He's talking to Erin Andrews!
