ESPN To Air Vick Town Hall Meeting September 25th

Friday, September 21, 2007

Is it just me, or are we light-years beyond this Vick issue? I'm basically done with CameraGate and this "event" isn't even until next Tuesday. Strike while the iron is hot is what I always say. The meeting will be called "The Vick Divide", will take up SportsCenter for a day (6-7:30 pm) and feature some of Atlanta's finest on the panel.

Scheduled to appear: Host Bob Ley, Neal Boortz (ATL Radio Host), Terrence Mathis (former Falcon and friend of Vick), Terence Moore (ATL Journal Constitution), and Selena Roberts (New York Times)

I don't know if they waited over a month for this because Sydney J. Marcus Auditorium in Atlanta was all booked up until now, but you know what I always say.....Strike while the iron is hot.

"If you still care about Mike Vick say Aye (*crickets*)
If you don't care about Mike Vick say Nay....

NAY!!!!!!!!!!

They nays have it.....meeting adjourned."

Unfortunately and pathetically, white people find Vick deplorable and black people think it's no big deal and that he's being persecuted based on his skin color.

In the end, we all lose.

Like I want to hear what that fuckwad Neal Boortz has to say about anything.

Same shit, one month later.

See, this is what Donovan was talking about.

I think.

I'd rather watch those cheerleaders jiggle their tight asses.

Why isn't Al Sharpton, the spokesman for all black people in America, invited?

Maybe he'll accuse them of being racist in picking the panel.

If, by "Atlanta's finest" you mean "Atlanta's biggest tools," because that's what Terence Moore and Neal Boortz are. God, seeing these blowhards on national TV representing my city is going to be embarassing.

Who is ESPN fooling with this panel?? This isn't supposed to be open, real dialogue...this is a farce, a sham. Neal Boortz? and yeah, who the hell is Selena Roberts? This is a slap.

Are you fucking kidding me? If you think this has anything to do with race you are fucking stupid! He is an idiot that did made bad choices, and they caught up with him. This has nothing to do with race, it about fame and fortune. Like Chris Rock said, black people were running around saying, "We won, We Won!" when OJ was found not guilty, what the fuck did you win?

The only people making this a race issue are black people, why that seems to always be the case!

The only thing the city of Atlanta had to be embarrassed about during this town hall meeting was the reaction of Vick's supporters. They clearly didn't care that Vick did these horrible things. They were completely behind him because he's black. Period. Didn't matter what he did. He's black, so they support him. That's the sad, shameful part.

They wanted to claim his prosecution was all about his race. Sorry, it was all about his guilt.

Blind allegiance without thought is just idiocy. And that's how a lot of Vick's supporters came across last night... as idiots.
