A couple of things to note....

1)
I haven't seen a game with Charles Davis this year. That upsets me greatly
2) Brent Musburger will somehow do 16 USC games this year.
3) West Virginia is going down to South Florida....mark it down.
4) Nessler, Griese, and Maguire plan on never leaving the Midwest.
5) SS (who put this together for us) notices something weird with ABC...."Gotta love the fact that ABC has five regional games at 3:30. How hard would it have been to put one at 8 so they can switch to it whenever USC/Washington inevitably turns into a blowout?" (No one ever plans ahead like that SS. Ever.)
6) Mike Patrick needs to find some way to work in Nicole Richie this weekend. I demand it!

Spielman is such a piece of work.

Gotta love the stories of how he rears his children.

Wonder if Bob Davie and Holtschszz will be on to promote the ND game.

Everyone loves ND!

damn you distracting me like that with Allison. I went to check her out on the link and the only that disappoints me is she would have dinner with Ellen deGeneres.

No word on if she would want "desert".

Don't you know? The whole country loves USC! And they want to suck up every minute of their blowouts! Fortunately, I will be watching Auburn play Florida.

And let me be the first to say that Pam Ward will be in The Big Easy this weekend.

Ok, I have a request for this whole announcers lineup. Any way you could, at the top or something, put where Gameday is going to be each week?

Is USC's entire schedule on ABC? I mean seriously, it's like every week. Is there a particular reason ESPN doesn't move one of the SEC games over on a Saturday night? Does CBS have some sort of no-compete clause in their contract with the SEC or something? It would seem to me that having the Auburn/Florida game on as an alternative would be a good idea.

ABC doesn't have a contract to show any SEC games. They still should have moved at least one of the others over.

Charles Davis? So we get to see more run-pass options hopefully

Don't you get it? USC deserves a national audience because they're so great. Just ask them.

If they moved one of the five to primetime, then they'd make less money on Gameplan! Besides, if they put one of the regional games in primetime, your game probably wouldn't change.

For example, if they moved Louisville/NC State to primetime, then that game would be sent to Kentucky, the Carolinas, and Virginia, and the rest of the country would still get USC.

Thanks for adding it, AA!

Louisville/NC State??? Only alums and hardcore gamblers would be interested in a game between a team with no offense against a team with no defense.
Clemson/Georgia Tech would have been a better candidate to be moved to an 8pm split for ACC country.

Clemson/Georgia Tech would also go out to a VERY limited regional audience. You'd probably only get it if you lived between Atlanta and Charlotte.

Oh well, at least next week the country can change over from ABC's Notre Dame's 6th loss @ UCLA, and watch Florida @ LSU on CBS at 8. Gee, I wonder who'll win that ratings battle?

Sep 25, 2007, 11:56:00 PM

If the Notre Dame game gets higher ratings than LSU/Florida perhaps anywhere but Southern California and the Great Lakes Region, then people are truly dumber and/or more susceptible to ESPN hype than I ever imagined. This will be a true test.

I don't mean to go off topic, but the picture og the Ohio State Cheerleader has me perplexed. Is that a telltale BULGE I see in the front of her skirt? your thoughts

Trading weekly USC commentary from Keith Jackson for weekly commentary from Senor Furburger is sooooooo not cool (unless Brent's on a bender). Also, an NYC friend of mine complained that ABC cut away from the USC-Washington State game last Saturday by the 4th quarter, so all you 'SC haters have some hope to hold onto for this week.

Early candidate for the pammy's.

The Thursday booth got off topic (what a shock with James and Flutie in the booth!) and started talking about Craig James' ranch, and well, Fowler ended up quoting Brokeback Mountain.

"I just can't quit you, Craig" - Fowler

James Hasty is the worst (male) announcer I've ever heard do a college football game. It's clear he doesn't know any of the rules of college football, and I think Dave's gotten tired of correcting him. He doesn't watch the game, and he's way too slow, even for a color commentator.
