Bid To Be A Lead Baseball Announcer On Ebay

Thursday, September 20, 2007

You knew it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. A Professional Baseball league is actually giving you the opportunity to be PxPer for a season. The only catch is that you have to bid for the chance on EBay, and it's already at five-hundred dollars.

The Arizona Winter League, the premier instructional baseball minor league in the U.S. during the winter months, is auctioning off the opportunity to be the AWL play by play broadcaster during the 2008 season. All games during the 35-day season will be carried live over the internet and some may be broadcast on local radio and Television as well once the media deals are final. This is the perfect opportunity for an aspiring broadcaster to get experience in a professional baseball setting. You will get to broadcast all 33 games that are played at Desert Sun Stadium, the 7500 capacity ballpark of the minor league Yuma Scorpions and long-time home of the San Diego Padres and Yakult Swallows spring training complex.
All joking aside this is a pretty good opportunity for those looking to get into the business. The price seems like a lot, but in comparison to classes you may have paid for at The Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse....it's actually a pretty good deal. That's if it doesn't get any higher than $500-$1000.

If you are looking for an analysts feel free to give me a shout. A bidder with the moniker "i***i" is in the lead, and you've only got 7 days! Get going people!!!
